I have a bit of a problem!......my monitor packed in just before the hol's and I replaced it today with a flat screen job!................to my horror when I look at my gallery all the shots are bright as bright can be,they look terrible.........I have reposted this shot again ,which is right on my new screen, can you tell me if its better or worse than the original......thank you people..................Ken
It is quite a bit darker than the first shot and I do prefer this one. (Gosh now you have me wondering - I will have to look at mine on another monitor!!) Viv
I was just having a quick look at your gallery. No, I don't think so - some might improve a little but I think it is just this particular shot suits the darkness, many would not. See what others say. Viv
Yep darken them all lol. This is a super shot Ken,love the way the new monitor takes your photos lol.All joking aside it;s a wonderful shot and on my monitor it looks just right
Thank you kind lady!........lol........happy christmas!........it's terrible when you cant get online!.........I was suffering terrible withdrawal symptoms!.............cheers Bridget!.................Ken
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Did'nt see the original but this looks good to me if you have photoshop go into control panel and select Adobe Gamma and follow the instructions on the screen you wont be disapointed with the result................Dilwyn
Thanks for the advice and the comment Dilwyn but I dont have Photoshop!......have a great new year my friend!.......all the best........Ken
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Looks OK here too Ken....maybe you need to adjust your monitor, not your images......Ros and I missed you....thought you might ge soaking up the sun in Spain or somewhere else exotic....Alan
Happy new year to you and Des Ken. Like Alan I have missed your smiling comments.
My monitor at home has always been brighter than the monitor on my Del laptop or the Del screen that plugs into it on my desk at work.
Of your two images the first looks "normal" to me... a sort of straight from Ken's camera look. The second looks as though you have darkened the background and given the leaf a good dose of saturation.
I will take a shot of the two screens and post them.....john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
