the original pic i took was 2 years ago and it was pretty bad! But as i havent had a chance to take any pics lately (its always raining and gets dark so early) i thought i would play with this one. First i crosshatched it in photoshop elements 3 (filter - brushstrokes - crosshatch) on stroke lenght 3, sharpness 8, strengh 1. THis is a good way of makeing a pretty blurry photo look sharp, but it only works if you use a big photo then resize it afterwards (the big version will look bad!) then i used neat the neat image plugin as the pic was very noisey (NOISE LEVELS =luminance chnnel +25, Chrominance channels -5, Noise Reduction Amounts = luminance channel 60%, Chrominance channel 100% and sharpening Anount 110%) i then resized the pic to 800pixels wide (i think!) and changed the levels slightly, coloured in the pupil of the eye black (it had come out blue in the origial photo, added a bit of saturation and contrast..... think that was all! hope thats not confused you? have a go at crosshatching on a pic that is slightly blurry then resize - its really good!
