Lol!! I have struggled most of the afternoon and evening to do this. I have downloaded add-ons to my photoshop elements to let me do layer masks and various other things and I can't quite get it to do this procedure . Ah well here is the fudged attempt! I get right and ratty when I can't do something - I hate to admit it....!! If anyone knows how to get elements to do this please HELP! Lol
Oh, you clever person. Wish I could help, but this is new to me. I like what you've done so far. Keep at it, I'm confident you will sort it out. My Gallery
Looks pretty good to me Viv......can't help you with all that stuff.....but if you want to know how to crop, then I think I can help there...lol...Alan
Great shot viv. As the others say there nowt much wrong with it! Iknow how to do it in ps but I'm not that sure about elements as I know there are quite a few differences.Richard Crowe Visit My Website
If you had not 'fessed up I would not have known... what are you trying to do that you have not achieved here?...john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
Thank you all very much. This was fudged a bit though. Richard I still could not get a layer mask onto a frame layer even though I downloaded a plug in for an easier method of getting layer masks in elements. So there I stick - the only tutorials I could find seem to require a layer mask on a frame. The frames are different to CS. But if anyone knows how to this without that frame layer..... Viv
I think you made a great job, Viv! We are getting so strict with ourselves, but that's good too. I don't use Elements, only PSC2 and I have the CaptureOne pluging to make better masks. So I'm not sure you can get rid of the frame layer on Elements, but I'll try to find it out. It also depends on your Elements version.
Carmen.
Carmen how kind of you!! Thank you - but don't go out of your way as I know you are studying. I have P Elements 6. Do you think we are all getting better? I know you are but I don't feel as though I am .Viv
Come on, Viv, you are a great photographer and creative person! There are not sweet words, it's the truth. I'm almost done with my paper so, I'll check out that, it's not a problem because I'm reading Photoshop for photographers and I'm in the layers part. The book is thick as brick, so I find it repellent most of the time, but it's worth it
