I echo Alan...not something we see....I am guessing it is a waterhen of some sort...and knowing your haunts I am aslos guessing it is a saltwater bird?....nicely captured too...john

Thank you everyone. John these are fish eating diving seabirds who nest in harbour walls. During early winter they spend all their time at sea. Now they are starting to come back to the harbours for a short time each day and they have almost all changed into their summmer plummage. But because they frequent harbours they just ignore us humans in boats. They are very funny. Viv
