Look at the waves, man thats wicked. Looks like at least 6 footers. Brave souls that lot. Nice catch. Good stop action
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
All I can say is "they must have a good reason", Viv......is that land in the background, obscured by sea spray?...the 300mm has done a good job here Viv. With a 400 or 500mm, you would be in tighter on the boat, but also lose some of the impact of the surroundings....which is better???....I think it's a hard call sometimes....Alan
I know mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun - do Irishmen go out in horrendous weather (as she reaches for the bucket). Terrific, atmospheric shot. Janhttp://janpudney.net/ http://jaypea.redbubble.com/
Thanks everyone. Alan that is Scotland in the background and this was croped in quite hard - I could have done with at least 400. Jan I think you are right about Irishmen....lol!! We have quite strong tides around the north of the UK. This channel runs at about 6 knots and this was a spring tide. Yacht was going with the start of tide against the wind.......ugh....overfalls, much steeper, short waves. We try not to do this run at spring tides with wind against tide for this reason - it is like being in a washing machine and is slow.Viv
