I didn't know you could speak latin!.......a man of hidden talents!.........lol.......great shot my friend,so sharp and the colour is so vibrant it jumps off the page!............nice to see you back!..................Ken
If I see something I "SHOOT!"
Where's your note John?....lol....lovely rich colour and great DOF, with good separation.....take it from me John, it may take you 12 months to slow down, and by that time you should have driven your wife crazy, and spent all your spare money on camera gear......Happy retirement....Alan
Beautiful shot John ..... can almost smell this one from here ..... nice to see you back .... happy retirement ..........JulieTwelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
This is very crisp! Beautiful colours. Love the background as well. The dof is just right as well. (Checked the dictionary as well!) Is this a new lens? Viv
"Enjoy the BEST that Life has to OFFER You, John"
Welcome back... and "No" as to the lens... be buying one or 2 in US this May.
I just noticed that this lens has yet another default in it... grrr
Theres dust in between the lens & it can't be removed... either have to take this one back or for sure buy a new camera... I'm getting tired of the problems with this Nikon... geesh not even 51/2 months for the camera & the lens was replaced in January 2008. Who said Nikon was the best??? I begining to think Canon or the old standard film ones are suppier.
Anyways... Glad your back
~Kelly
Lovely shot John,it's lovely to see your work again, have missed them .Kelly i do think you have been very unlucky with your purchase,go back and demand a complete new package .
Thank you very much all...I am going to put photographyblogging on the must do list!
Wendy received this potted rose at my retirement function. ( I got some lovely photographic toys). I constructed a light tent around it for the photo shoot.
Alan, I have constructed a light tent, bought some cheap builder's quartz halogen and some fluoro spot lights, bought a glass shelf and some black velvet, a mat cutter.
It was my 17-70mm Sigma Viv- I only have two lenses, the 17-70 and the 50-500.
Kelly- if you do ditch Nikon, have a look at the Pentax, Olympus and the Sony before you go for a Canon.
Before this becomes an epic....thank you again for the kind words...john We're off to see the Lizard~~the wonderful (sic) Lizard of Oz~~
