Taken during a recent thunder storm. First real attempt at lightning, any ideas how to cut the noise levels down?

Brilliant catch,to cut down the noise buy a nikon lol Wink.Super shot,have you not got a plugin to reduce the noise.I think if you do a search on the net there will be some free plugins for ps Smile

Excellent capture. I use Noiseware Community edition (free stand alone download) and then import the filtered version into PS as a layer above my original image. I then erase the filtered version so that the area I want with detail (in this case the lightning) comes through the filtered version. Viv

Freightening lightening! Great capture. Noise ware you may also consider are Neat Image and Noise Ninja. Correl Pro has an excelent noise reduction built into their PS program.

I never thought of using PS noise reduction - I have always used seperate ones but I will try it now and compare. Sorry Rob - all this noise discussion following on from your clap of thunder!! Viv
