Thanks Maggi. Viv, yep I went to the highest point where I live and stood in a field with my camera on my tripod and yes I did have some dodgy thoughts, like OK that was close, time to go, after just one more.
A very large bolt of forked lightning hit the ground about a mile or two from me and all you could hear was crackling in the air. I have since noticed electric cables running across the field. Another conductor, must have been the static on the cables.
No pain no gain, just remember to put your rubber boots on...!!! lol.
