John is right. Photographing a black dog (or horse) is one of the most difficult tasks you can give yourself. Usually you need a flash to make it work. This is very successful. Brava.

She is wonderful! Lovely shot of her. Lol Dean's comment about "Amanda" photos. He is quite right. (Still waiting for THE osprey shot with fish in talons! We have a TV programme called "Springwatch" and they were showing the Ospreys in Scotland fishing last night. Having caught the fish they turn it so that the face faces forward to reduce wind resistance - amazing!) Viv

Wow! Amanda!!!! Lovely portrait, such soulfull eyes! I was wondering if she was yours, as well? Love this breed of dogs, they have such lovely temperments. She's going to be a big girl when she grown! Smile

No, she's not mine. I had the pleasure of pet sitting for her for a week along with 4 cats and another full grown Newfie while the owners went on holiday.
