This is, according to legend, the site where Uther Pendragon, father of King Arthur, died. The Castle was built in 1173 and this view would be largely unchanged.
Haven't had a chance to do much reading these last few years. But yes I am very interested in the legend of King Arthur and will note those authors. Thanks Jimmy
