Waiting for the Night

I think I'm inclined to go with John on this one. All together a much more natural feel with more room to appreciate the enviornment. A plus being that in this view the head dress is visible.
The Black-crowned Night-heron prefers to fish, as the name implys, at night. So it's find a good spot then and wait.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Such an improvement on the original post. The lighting is to die for and the heron is absolutely wonderful with that eye. The background could be Monet's water lilies ... A shot to be proud of. Jan
