.. I was telling Ken this spring that I started using a little monopod because of the winds we've been getting, and surprisingly, it really helps steady things as you try to focus with a macro lens... I tend to always bring it with me now as it comes in handy...

Thank you very much Amanda. Oly I quite often get down on my knees and rest my elbows on the ground - best tripod I can think of. Of course it does not work for bugs high up on bramble blossom ..Lol! Viv
