I think taking a third off the left side improves the image Mike.

Have cropped and slightly changed is this better? Or worse?

Didnt see the original but I like this, nice exposure ! Like the rustic colors in the stone.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

As always this things tend to get into opinions quickly. I like both images for different reasons. This one for the colors. You took a third off the left but also took some off the right. For this type of image I would suggest asking yourself some questions. Start with finding out what your favorite part of the picture is. Then try some different crops to bring focus to that image. After that you can play with the colors and lighting and tweak the image. In the end it will be a unique addition to the photography world so make sure that you are happy with it. Aside from that, have fun and look at LOTS of other people's photos. If you see something you like, try to find out how to mimic it through questions, trial and error. It will take time but you will improve. Smile Welcome to the blog! Smile

I didn't mean for you to crop the right side Mike, the idea was to put the cenotaph onto the left third and keep the rest. Images are personal, you should go with what looks and feels right for you, our comments are only an opinion.
