I second that comment ..... excellent close up ...... Superb shot .. well done ..... JulieTwelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
Viv, I am working on a getting a green one but they are a little more skiddish and rare.
They have beautiful green bands all down the tail though.

This is a great shot. The best of a dragonfly I have ever seen.
A nice shot of the eyes, personally i would do quite a servere crop to say 569 x 395 pixels from the top left, this would get rid of the distracting background and focus the attention on the eyes.
