I have updated this. I selected only the background and desaturated the red and yellow tones. This helped (i think) to cause the insect to stand out from the background.


I also lighted the background a hair.

Sorry Robert, i can't see any difference between the two, you say you desaturated the red and yellow tones, in my opinion that is not the problem, the problem for me is the highlights in the background that are distracting and as before an adjustment of the levels improves the image of the Dragonfly but also brings up those distracions as well. This is only my opinion.

Haha! That's funny. It looks like the link finally updated on the other one. (I tried to just update the photo earlier but it would not change). You see no difference because they are the same picture! Smile Sometimes the slowness of this server is painful. But alas, you say that this is no better? Ah well, I see what you are saying but as you have well pointed out, I don't know if there is much to be done at this point w/o a background transplant. Thanks for the suggestion John, I respect your opinion as much as I admire your work. Smile
