Great colours in this one, the purples against the greens. What lens did you use, as i would like to indulge in some Macro work?

Beautiful colours and a nice crop with that other thistle head. She looks a "Ruby" - even down to her wings. (I still have not seen a dragon fly yet. I don't blame them for hiding - it was 13 degrees and a cold north wind today - Cooooollllddd!) Viv

God knows they're not easy to take a photograph of even if they are sort of friendly... This is a super catch............one landed on my chest last weekend... they are just the most adorable insect I know... so glad they don't care to bite....

Fantastic image sharpness Maggi....my eye does slide off to the bright mauve flower on the left...might be worth considering a crop and a clone to present Ruby on the three header by herself.....john
