Alas, I have never had a crumpet. I have asked my wife to learn how to make them. It will be a treat. I will see if there is anywhere near that sells marmite as well.

Hi, Stewart! Glad to see your work again. Okay, so I'm totally un-learned about marmite. What's it taste like? If you say, like vegemite, that won't help all that much, as I've never had that either.
