Thank you very much Bridget, Julie and Rob. Funny thing is there were not many Ladybirds here at the beginning of summer either, but now there are droves and still quite a few larvae running around. Viv

Lovely ladybird Viv.....nice simple lines and the background couldn't be better.....well done.....I'm not sure, but I think our ladybirds have more spots...must look it up......SmileAlan

Viv, I did a bit of quick research on Ladybirds, and was surprised to find that in our region alone there are 18 different ones, 2 of which are phytophagous (I looked it up and it means plant eatingSmile)......They go up to 28 spots......I am inspired now to start photographing the whole lot...thanksSmile......Alan
