The artifacts in the sky indicate that you have probably sized it down a little too much. For a shot like this ~100 to 140K would be better...You could easily increase the contrast a little too to make it a more vibrant shot....

No many thanks John, it was pretty dark when I took this shot, but the artifacts are really there, one is a seagull the other is a buoy, I think for a crab pot!

ok thanks for that, there is a small amount of pixellation on my monitor but I am uploading from my laptop so it is a little hard to see how pixellated the images are.
