These are Gil's shots taken while we were racing last night and show the fleet BEHIND us..lol!! This is an annual race run down the Strangford Narrows and is the greatest fun. It is started on a spring ebb tide which runs at 8 knots and before the start the whole fleet sails the wrong way as hard as they can against the tide to try and stay on the pre start side of the line until the start gun - if the wind drops they just get carried backwards over the line ...Lol!! As the gun goes every one turns and goes with the tide.
Way to fo Gil!!!! Looking good my friend....
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
Lol!! Thanks Maggi, Nigel and Alan - it was fun! Yes Alan it was what we call a light airs race but the tide is so strong here that it creates an apparent wind. I did not get to look back - my eyes were glued to the sails. Viv
