Hi, Tom. I'm not familiar with your name so I was going to say welcome to the blog, but I checked out your gallery and see you've been here a while. I will say that putting very many images on the front page at once can knock somebody else off, which loses them opportunity to be viewed and commented upon.
Anyway, I love a good dandelion photo, so thought I'd take a look at this one. Your note at top speaks fo the focus on this. I suggest that what we see is because your camera is set to f/3.2, a fairly wide aperture, which produces a smaller depth of field, and it focused at the first thing the autofocus could find, which is the nearer fluff stuff. 3.2 would seem like a larger depth of field if the subject were farther away, but because this one is (I'd guess) closer, the relative focus is more compressed.
sounds about right, sorry about the multiple upload thing, didn't mean to piss on any1's parade. just haven't used the site in ages and was excited to get a few photos up. I will be more considerate in the future.
