Ruppell's Griffon Vulture

As with my first Vulture post, this image was not as sharp as I would have liked, the difficulty being the vertical cage wires that surrounded him, which whilst almost completely blurred out (due to the focus being the Vulture), still show a hazy prescence in the background.

But what a shot of his eye and face and that beak. Really well done under the circumstances. Such a haughty looking brow!! I love this shot. Viv

Very good Jenny !....F5.6/6.0 would have brought the back of the head and the front of the beak into perfect focus!.....still a wonderful shot. It's a good practice to shoot 3 shots with varied aperture, then pick the best shot! .........you are getting better all the time.......all the best Ken

Jen you have done well to try and hide the bars, and achieved a great shot.
It's the Photographer that takes the Photo not the Camera.

Thankyou Viv, Ken & Jacqui.

No adjustments were made to hide the wiring, thankfully the focus on the main subject did the job for me. I decided to leave the subtle trace in place, as it does not interfere with the Vulture himself.
