No horizon in this shot..thats the waterline.'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. That is what photography is all about. It is the only reason for doing it.'......Philip Jones Griffiths
Kelly - I think the rating you have given is not justified. There is no connection between this shot and your cat. As a cat owner myself I sympathise with your position, but this is a photography site and the comments and feelings should be directed towards the photography. This is not the place to leave comments such as you have done above. All it does is create aggrivation and disharmony. If my cat was run over by a car, I would not leave negative feedback on someones picture of a car because it reminded me of my cat. Not the same I know, but the point is there. If you genuinely feel the photo itself is technicallly bad enough to deserve a 1 rating, well thats fine. However, i dont feel its fair to rate photos due to personal feelings which the photographer has no control over such as I believe has happened here. I dont want to get into an arguement over this, but I guess that the feelings I have in writing this equate to your feelings about the image. There is a time and place for everything, but ultimately, this is a photography site. I may not be right in everyones eyes, but all I am giving is my personal opinion. Thankyou Richard for your comment and for responding in a way I was too inhibited to articulate....I still have some loyalty towards the rating system and so regard kellys score of 1 with a degree of frustration and disappointment. But hey, this site has been infiltrated by alot of neuriotic drivel from some quarters recently so lets just enjoy eachothers photographs and keep the comments focussed and constructive.'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. That is what photography is all about. It is the only reason for doing it.'......Philip Jones Griffiths
"Thank-You Richard... I do appeciate honesty.." and due to this I shall remove my coments.
No offence taking & it may be triue... emotions are deep as to this product & the harm it can do to animals/wildlife.. I honestly do not think the image itself is bad... but I do have to honor my true thoughts... and in this it shall not be changed.

Please don't remove comments, it spoils the fun for everyone eles and is cowardly. This is a nice idea, well photographed but needs attention where the sand meets the duck. And who cares about the horizon or not? Cheers Malmalsmith.com
Ah yes...duck...cricket...Howzat!...Thanks all for comments.'There is no point pressing the shutter unless you are making some caustic comment on the incongruities of life. That is what photography is all about. It is the only reason for doing it.'......Philip Jones Griffiths
