I have to go back to see the rest of BOB HOPE Park . Spent most of our time on the carrier USS MIDWAY. This shot was taken on the carrier deck. We were about 1000 yards away and 50 feet above the Park.
If you ever get to go to San Diego, you have to go on the Midway. They have a great tour or you can do it your self. I tryed to get on the Midway when I was in the Navy, but never made It. I also did 26 years in the Navy. NAVY
To End any confusion about what I said about being on the Midway. I was in the Navy but did not serve on her. When I say I was on the Midway when I took the photo I was. We were there Sat , it is now a museum in San Diego.
