Another fabulous image Jimmy, i would just watch how much you sharpen your images, i feel this one is bordering on being slightly over done, a lovely image all the same.

Great shot Jimmy, the colour is amazing and the exposure is terrific with flash and at that close range.....the yellow/green background shows off the butterfly to perfection......SmileAlan

Great shot there, lovely colours. It does seem the butterfly population is low this year, probably due to the weather not being great? Seen plenty of white ones but hardly any coloured.

I am not a macro-expert (like Jimmy) - far from it: is the 'body-fur' a tad out-of-focus? Some post-processing to elucidate the individual strands? Great photo, takes me back to my boyhood in the chalk-quarries of Kent, where hundreds of these beauties fluttered about me every day.
