I was delving in old photos and found this. This is Gil's shot. This is me in 1988 doing a short singlehanded race. We had to have an observer on board in case of emergencies. Gil was my obeserver and could photograph me and pour a drink for me ...lol! I just put this up for fun - it is not staying long..Lol!!
Lovely memory there Viv, thanks for sharing it and I know what you mean by not so good now, I feel just the same about photographs of me when I was younger - I think its and age thing, but I cant remember for sure! The hidden harmony is better than the obvious. Alexander Pope (1688-1744)
It shows that you enjoyed sailing back then too Viv ........Gil wasn't going to let YOU get away, he's a clever boy.......thanks for showing us.........Alan
Wonderful, Viv. That look of sheer enjoyment is priceless. I know what you mean - I told hubby we have to move south - my body is already tryingCat. Thanks for sharing. It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see ~ Henry David Thoreau
Lovely shot Viv. I used to have lots of hair 20 years a go, now I have to worry about sunburn and cold ears lol..... Single handed sailing, you are very brave.

Shouldn't you have a life vest on, young lady? Pirates can swoop in at any minute, and then where would you be?
Actually, you look extremely confident and happy. A great slice of life portrait.
