Thanks artful--this turned out very odd. The original image was, imo, well enough composed but basically mundane and unusable. I first made it a b&w but that did not help. So I subjected it to Photomatix to over-accentuate the details. I then sent it through the NIK Color Efex PS plugin filter (I think it was "midnight") and allowed some color to show through. The trees, grass, and sky/clouds are as shot. This is just having fun with a photo that would otherwise never see the light of day. I've had bad dreams that had landscapes like this, but we won't go into that... :-)

Ahh, yes, that's the way. I think about these wonderful rescues every time I'm forced to delete so called 'bad' photos due to an overburdened hard drive.
