This is what we were told by the ranger at the park. It is the only one that has berries on it. The indians use as tea for medicinal purposes and can be dried and stored for future usage. There are some trees that need each other so they can bare fruit.Hope this will help you.

That must be where the bees come in. I wonder if the trees stay female their whole lives, or if they change back & forth depending on the fruit issue. Those racey trees and their wild nightlife, eh?
