Ya know, for the place it works,, it looks like 35 years ago and time stood still. When color photography first came out. A lot of the detail is lost because of lighting in the car and buildings but for this shot it still works (for me). A lot of saturation in spots which still adds to the era.(for me, again) .Like cross processing from the 60's

Yes, cross-processing did come to mind - as an arty exponent of HDR, it works fine, but, as we are on PBlog - where tastes are more on the conservative side - let us see a truer representation of what lies beneath - and use HDR to bring that out to its fullest effect. There are some great HDR tutorials online - try a GOOGLE search. I shoulda said I like this very much as it is... Smile

I have yet to delve into HDR so can't provide any help or suggestions. In some cases I'm not entirely convinced about the benefits though as it can produce a rather unreal result. This, as mentioned, does have a dated feel about it which has an attraction in itself but detail is lost. Still good start I think - keep at it. I look forward to seeing how you get on... Colin

I like it, a good image to me, is one that makes you feel, think or react. This took me back in time. If you want to know if you used HDR correctly in a generic way it looks over processed but as an artist I think its great! As an aside, I like edgy images, different perspectives and styles. There is no true right or wrong. (one persons opinion, not speaking for the Blog)

Looking at the old buildings and the cars, the treatment works great.
