I took this last year down by the Tinsley Canal... The worker seemed puzzled why I would want to take a photo of what he was doing... I tried to explain, but I could tell he thought I was a bit weird lol!
I can certainly see why you took the picture. Some slightly dangerous drama going here, and I'm glad you didn't get a spark on your lens. I would suggest that this composition is ripe for a square format, taking away a bit of the red part on the left.
A lovely image - I love images of people at work - social documentary. I see what Chris means about the crop but I understand why you have not as it shows the context of teh narrow boat. Viv
