This is the weather the mad kite surfers were out in.

I love a roiling sea or Great Lake windy day. Good landscape image. We are just hearing about the wind surfer who encountered a whale off of South New Wales. He had a camera on his kite and got a couple of good shots to prove his tale. The money shot was missed, the one where the whale wacked him in the back of the head with his tail. His camera took a shot every 10 seconds.

This image really shows, how powerful and dangerous the sea can be.

Thanks Alan. I was safe enough - there was a low lying rocky ridge in front and to the right of me which caused each wave to dissipate so I was only at risk from a damp foot - which I got...lol! Viv

One can really feel the pull of the tide along with the power, Viv. Not a force to be reckoned with. I miss the ocean so much. I find it quite mesmerising. Montanans always ask me what I miss most in the UK - I always tell them the sea. I'll take snow scenes of the rockies if you'll take more of the sea (waterproofs v thermals)Smile Cat

I love wild seas like this - as long as I'm on land! Love the tone, and what a fabulous coastline. Another goodie! Jan
