Portstewart town and harbour during a winter gale. Was getting very dark when I took this but you can still see the blow hole at the right of the harbour. This bit of coast is superb at the height of winter as it gets the weight of the Atlantic Ocean.
This image really shows the power of the sea! lovely shot.

My goodness, I certainly hope you have a good pair of Wellies! I love that you are willing to get out in the weather for your photography. It seems an obvious choice to me, but there's actually a lot of people who wouldn't even consider picking up the camera unless it was a peaceful, sunny day.
Thank you Janice and Chris. Chris I am with you 100%! It only starts to get interesting as the weather gets worse - I love dramatic weather - I am a bit of a freak weather nut. Viv
Your a bit of a nut no matter what the weather my friend!!!So proud your shot made the tele!! Awesome weather, do the boats take a beating? I like the small line of lights leading to town on left. I have got to re-book a flight over there.....maybe May again. John said the weather was very nice. ...

Lol Maggi!! Me a nut? - Never! No boats in this harbour in winter as the beating is too severe. The only boat there is the Pilot boat for ships entering the River Bann somewhere to the right of the shot. Viv
Another great weather shot Viv... the shutter speed just right to get the windblown spray.....it would be a dangerous walk around the wall to get to the pilot boat.....your fishermen deserve anything they make, going out in those seas.....well done....Alan
An exciting shot of nature at her best. Well done, Viv. The colour and texture of the rocks are beautifulCatIt's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see ~ Henry David Thoreau
I still say your a nut!
