Sensei, teach me how to slice the rash from an inbound fly's back without killing the fly?...
This image has successfully translated a feeling of mysterious power and ancient knowledge. The blade slicing through the negative space fills it nicely. Perhaps the impression could have been magnified by having more detail in the eyes, but I'm not a hundred percent sold on the idea, and am perfectly willing to say this version has total success.
Ooooo - very dramatic and full of portent. Chris you pick up on things well - not sure about the eyes myself - think if I saw them it would suggest menace - this there is room for mystery. Might be just me but I think I would like the hadn that is holding the sword a little sharper. But really well done - terrific with only the sword edge catching the light. Viv
Whoa! This packs a punch. I don't think we need to see the eyes - the message is pretty clear by his facial expression. Perhaps a little more room at left and bottom? It's a really good, dramatic photo and very well executed. I'd whack it in POTW. Janhttp://janpudney.net/ http://jaypea.redbubble.com/
