It was a very eerie place and these rooms were so small. I think they were solitary confinement rooms... it all felt very sad and desperate. The outside of the building is quite magnificent so it seemed such a waste to have let it rot on the inside. I understand the building has since been sold and is being renevated into luxury apartments

Love that peeling paint!! Love the effect on it (hdr?). I agree these places are wonderful structures - sad to see them deteriorate. But probably a lot of sad stories from here. Viv
