I think you can stop practising now, Amanda. It's a shame all those branches are there, but birds haven't learned how to be good models! It's a great capture - lovely detail, fantastic reds and the catch light, too.

Dam - Jan said exactly what I was going to say! I know classic shots have no branches in the way but I think this works perfectly - he does look like he is hiding but those silver branches make a cracker contrast with his red feathers. Cracker shot! Viv
