Thanks for the comment, I did look at cropping off the top a bit, but the picture looked odd. I like the way the small clouds merged to form a single colour over the length of the exposure, which was well over 70 seconds, so long in fact that the cyclists which crossed the causeway don't even show up, I thought that there may have been some ghosting but there was none.
It was far from calm, the wind was from the north (behind the camera) which meant the lake was largely protected hence the smaller waves inside the lake. beyond the breakwater things were more rough... but the tide was well on the way out.
