You've come a long long way, Catonic. I've watched you grow from a good to an excellent photographer. You have a real grasp on what you're doing and you make it look easy to boot. I've also realized something else... I really suck. Sad

Beginner's luck, Amanda. I've come a little further along because of people such as yourself, who take the time, along with your experience, to help people like me. I have read posts where you offer your expertise, and it helps so much. Your photography is excellent, may I remind you - Miss Competition Winner & Miss POTW plus.!!! This photo was luck, it was my first time with this Canon 500D filter. I'm surprised how sharp it is for added on glass. I think I'm going to have fun with it, especially when I am too lazy to take my tripod. I can put this on a telephoto lens and off to snap flowers. Thank you, so much, for your comments, but I am nowhere near your talentSmileCat

Lovely, the colour and detail is superb. You say you have a close up filter, does that mean on a normal lens, insead of a macro lens? Sorry, I am very much a beginner, compared to you guys. I would love to take some of these kind of shots, but think I need to invest in another lens/ filter.

Amanda - Cat is dead right - Miss Competition winner!

You can get every cheap dioptre filters in any lens size to screw on the front of your lens - I used to find +4 dioptre worked well. Viv
