This was taken at the Jones Beach Memorial Day Weekend Air Show, 2009. This is a portion of the USAF Thunderbird Squadron flying the F-16.
I cropped it square because I wasn't sure what else to do with it. The main thing is the show was fantastic to watch. I learned a lot about these magnificent flying machines and the brave men and women who fly them.
Wonderful capture. OMG you can see the pilots in the cockpit - incredible. Amazing detail. Interesting comment from Stuart, I never realised they were called thatCatIt's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see ~ Henry David Thoreau
Nice capture Amanda. I would like just a bit off the top, I think it would work better.

Hi amanda.. great photo well done... to answer your square question lol.. dont do it.. you did the right thing by giving the aircraft something to fly into and leaving more space in front but by giving space behind it gives the eye a flight path. having it square they seem to hang there. a rectangular crop gives a where been and where going with this subject.. also perhaps crop it tightly in the vertical. which emphasis the tight formation of the flying brilliantly captured though well done.
