Awwww ok... Got you now.
Well. we just about made it to the China border but an accident happened that kept us on the road... hence we never made it... rather a interesting story (in short scared the daylights out of me by our driver pulling over to pee & hubby out of the jeep for a capture in Passu/while I'm in the back of the jeep & the bloody thing decides to roll... backwards... over the edge of one of the highest points of land... me freaking... reaching forward to grab the emergency brake & suddenly finding that no dam thing exists in the jeep!!!! Talk about exciting!!!! YIKES!!!!! Never felt so much fear in my life but now tjhat I look back It would have been the perfect place for my death! .... Lol I mean that because it was the closet feeling to Heaven I've ever felt!)

Your in an area I would have loved to travelled.... Lots to see & so much natural beauty to be found! Enjoy it to the fullest!

YIKES is right!!!! That sounds like quite the adventure you had! Glad you made it out alive to tell the story though
Lanzhou was incredible. Wish that I had more time in the city though; it was just a transfer point for my trains. Perhaps I'll just quit school and teach English in China for a few years and see all of the beauty that the western half of the country has to offer...
