The almost completely blurred background works perfectly for this. I suppose another version could have slightly less blur to show motion. Works either way. Great photo.
I actually have lots of shots with blurred wings showing movement. This background is because of it is at F4.5 on my 500mm. This was one of the very rare moments that I had such good light to use higher shutter speeds and capture all the detail in the wings.
