Inside of the John Chrysostom's church in tne Old Ladoga (Staraya Ladoga) St. Nicolas friary. The church is under reconstruction, but has very nice, quite atmosphere.
Lovely worn floors, nice to think of all the folks who have gqathered there.

Beautiful rich colour and detail, all nicely vertical. A difficult subject - I'd have been tempted to bracket this and combine shots to get some colour/detail into the windows, especially the round one. Nice work. Cheers malmalsmith.com
Mal, thanks. It was really difficult subject, especially light conditions. It was rather dark inside and not allowed to set up the tripod - it's functional church. So, in fact this image is combined from three shots with -2, 0, +2 exposure bracketing shot from hand. Without that a lot of details would have been loosen, including colour details into the windows on the left wall. But even that was not enough to keep some details for the round window. From tripod I'd made another series, something like -4, -2, 0...
This is beautiful!!! Love all those colors!!!
I would "Love" to sit a long while in there. Looks full of warmth dispite the large room. And that wood floor... Lots of terrific detail in this one.
