We have had some good thunderstorms and impressive skies. This was after racing last night when the wind had died. All evening I was torn between my two passions as the sky was superb!
I like the way it seems suspended.....just beautiful...POTW
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
Very, very lovely. I took the liberty of dragging this off and adjusting the levels. There is a lovely reflection in the black foreground which I'd have liked to have seen. Just my preference. Cheers, Mal.malsmith.com

I love how this came out. The red really pops out of the darkness. I didn't notice the reflection until Mal said something about it, and now find myself wondering what the adjustment would look like.
Thanks all! Interested to see it as well Mal. I used fill in flash to light the dinghy as it was getting quite dark. I will have an experiment myself. Viv
now that is good, love the sky and i actually like the way it fades to dark in the foreground

Thanks Jason
Thanks very much for doing that Mal! I like the reflection on the water but I think the dinghy looks a bit too bright so I may try your idea out but keep the dinghy as it is. Viv
Hi Viv, I'm on my home computer now which is not calibrated and the image I uploaded looks terribly pixellated. How embarrassing! Anyway, on this computer the foreground has the reflection and the boat is dark and moody as before. Interesting to note when viewing images that we're not all singing from the same photo sheet.
