Jass, I ended up taking the KKH from Kashgar, China to Islamabad over a couple of weeks. This pic is for you! It is a couple of ethnic Tajik kids at a small village between Sost and Passu in the Northern Areas. If you ever have the chance to go back to Hunza and into the NAs, it is something you'll never forget and won't regret.
"Thank-You" Tim... Excellent capture of the children there... mud & all!
And I know that there'd be absolutely "No Regrets or Forgotten".
It's that truly... very rare essence of "Being" 1 with Natural & all its elements!!!!
It sounds like you really (really) did enjoy your tour to Islamabad. Not surprising... I knew you would. And I know you enjoyed Passu too!
Looking forward in veiwng your ragged ridges of that area you've taken.
I green with envy too that you went through instead of me! Lol But I'm also "Thankful" you've seen the best of nature & 1 you shall never be able to forget! and that your safe!!!!
Just like me.... "My Paradise"
~Kelly
PS... "Good Luck too!"

Man, what an intense lad. You've got great light in those eyes, Tim.
Thanks! That is the most smilies I have ever seen in one post! The peaks there just defied gravity and the sense of sheer vertical scale will always be embedded in my memory. I'll be back there for sure. Hopefully within the next couple of years when I have more time and enough money to do the K-2 advanced base camp or some of the other peaks (this trip has been on a super-shoestring budget; yay for being a student). There are some more Paki pictures on my website now (the non-blog one)
