Cricket - The loneliness of the middle order batsman

Following on from my 'Portrait of a Psychedelic Surfer' i think it might become a new series of sporting portraits

And for those wondering what it means, from wiki

The first three batsmen (number 1, 2, 3) are known as the top order; the next four (numbers 4, 5, 6 and possibly 7) form the middle order, and the last four (numbers 8, 9, 10 and 11) are the lower order or tail

Fabulous portrait - the sky and the shadow really make for drama. I know head down is not usual but to me he is just mentally preparing himself. Viv

Jason, is it a style or is it a formula? Nice shot, what else have you got? I must say this is a very impressive shot. Cheers, Mal

Wonderful addition to the series. I agree with Viv, he does look as if he's mentally preparing. I suppose I would've been top order as I was always bully-off in hockeyWink Good info' also, Jason. Cat
