Epson UK Press Release
Epson’s general purpose, four-colour inkjet printers provide the home and small office with a high-quality, low cost printing solution.
1st September 2006 – The Epson Stylus D88 Plus and Epson Stylus D78 are the latest four-colour general purpose inkjet printers from Epson. They offer low cost printing solution with four individual ink cartridges from only £6.99 each, as with all of Epson’s new consumer printer range for 2006, you save money by only replacing the colour you use. The Epson D88 and Epson D78 also feature Epson DURABrite Ultra ink that is highly durable and is smudge, fade and water resistant on either plain or photo paper; a printing resolution of up to 5760x1440dpi and Epson’s unique Micro Piezo™ technology. Both printers include Epson’s PhotoEnhance, image enhancing software which automatically detects the scene and corrects your photo accordingly to produce perfect results every time.
Epson Creativity Suite software helps you to easily manage, file and print your photos without the need to open other programmes simultaneously. With its user-friendly interface you can find your desired files and then choose the feature you wish to perform, for example, open, print or save into another folder.
The Epson Stylus D88 Plus is ideal for a busy household or home office with everyday printing needs, for example, homework, business reports, internet printing and photos. It includes ArcSoft PhotoImpression® 5.1 software to help you get creative with your photos. You won’t have to wait long for your documents and photos either with printing speeds of up to 23 pages per minute.
The Epson Stylus D78 is ideal for those who demand quality and efficiency from their inkjet printer. It is fast too, with print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute. What’s more, it is the only printer in its class that offers cost-effective individual ink cartridges.
Martin Godfrey, Product Marketing Manager for Epson UK, says “Epson, traditionally recognised as a photo printing expert, has over the last few years also built a strong heritage as a general purpose printing leader. Our innovative DURABrite Ultra ink allows you to produce laser-like print quality on plain paper, ideal for the home office and where documents must look professional to make the right impression. The latest generation of DURABrite Ultra printers marks Epson’s continued success in this market and we believe they will meet the printing needs in any home.”
