Adobe has released an update for Photoshop CS4. The Photoshop 11.0.1 update addresses key issues reported by customers that may impact performance. The update also includes the following enhancements: the ability to correctly recognise 3D textures edited by plug-ins; improved quality of Auto-Blend Layers (Stack Images); and fixes for issues that can be caused by corrupt fonts or when pasting formatted text. The Photoshop 11.0.1 update is available as a free download for existing Photoshop CS4 customers, or through the Adobe updater via the application itself.

Olympus has unveiled two new Flash Brackets for the E-30 and E-3 DSLRs. The Olympus FL-BK04 allows for easy mounting of an external flash on either the left or right side of the camera for vertical flash shooting. The Olympus FL-BKM03 makes flash shooting possible using any Zuiko Digital lens, including ultra-wide-angle lenses. Both Flash Brackets will cost $199.99 each and be available in summer 2009.

The Olympus PT-E06 is a new underwater case for the E-620 DSLR. Waterproof up to a depth of 40 metres, the PT-E06 allows you to use the Live View function via the 2.7 inch LCD instead of the viewfinder. Flash connectors allow use of up to two UFL-2 underwater flash units, and there are five interchangeable lens ports. Price and availability of the Olympus PT-E06 to be confirmed.
