2 Year Warranty on Nikon Cameras

Nikon D40xNikon UK will offer a two year warranty as standard on all camera bodies from 1st September 2007. The new warranty applies to all Coolpix and DSLR cameras purchased on or after 1st July 2007. Nikon customers are required to register their product to take advantage of the two year warranty. “The introduction of the two year warranty from September 1st demonstrates Nikon’s commitment to all our customers. We are confident that this will be a distinct benefit to all users and reinforces the confidence we have in the quality and durability of our products.” commented Mark Evans, Service Manager - Imaging, Nikon UK.

Nikon UK is delighted to announce the introduction of a two year warranty as standard on all camera bodies. The warranty includes the whole range of cameras from COOLPIX through to DSLRs and will commence from 1st September 2007. This extended warranty is available to all Nikon customers whether they are novice or professional users.

To take advantage of the two year warranty customers are required to register their product. This extended warranty will also be available to customers who purchased a camera on or after 1st July 2007 when they register their product and if they have already registered Nikon will contact them directly to ensure they receive the extended warranty.

- All lenses and accessories will continue to have the advantage of a one year warranty. 
- In addition customers will have the opportunity to purchase an additional year which will allow them to receive a three year warranty. This three year warranty will have the added benefit of covering the customer for accidental damage and theft for the whole three years of the warranty.
- The extended two and three year warranties are managed on behalf of Nikon by Homeserve.
