First announced in the Autumn of 2005, the Canon IXUS 55 is an ultra-compact, lifestyle digital camera that offers a lot more than just good looks. The IXUS 55 features a 3x optical zoom lens, 5 megapixel sensor, Canon’s DIGIC II image processor (as used on their high-end digital SLRs) and a 2.5 inch LCD monitor.
