Canon EOS 10D: A Year in Pictures

I bought my Canon EOS 10D digital SLR camera exactly 1 year ago, and in that year I’ve taken nearly 10,000 photographs with it. To help celebrate my first anniversary of ownership, I’ve selected 24 of my favourite images from the past year and presented them in chronological order. There is no commentary or technical information, just the bare 24 photos to look at and (hopefully) enjoy.

  2. The photo "Poppy#1" seems to me taken in a wheat field.
I could not understand why this poppy and other weeds are growing there.
There is a similar photo on a book-cover, but that was to illustrate wheat in a natual environment.

  3. A great geometrical photo, which you composed well and the 10D has handled brilliantly. This would be a great place to test any short comings the Nikon D70 has with "moire" etc.

  4. I enjoyed your pictures,"A year with the 10D". I have never been to London, but your pics and Phil Askey's pics make me want to go. Great website. Chris Jeffords Waycross, Georgia USA

  5. Thanks Bill - it was quite difficult to choose just 24 images, and there are a lot that I had to leave out.

weining - yes, this was taken in a wheat field in England last summer. The field was full of poppies, which is what attracted me to it grin

Norm, I think you're referring to the shot of the office block? This was taken in Brussels, Belgium.

    Thanks Chris!!

  6. Mark I was commenting on this photo Cite Administrative de l'Etat #1, which I really like. You did a great job. I liked many of the others also, especially Tower bridge and The old man with the "brandy" flask, although in his case I suspect it was boubon.

I must add that I really enjoy your site and have it, amongst a few others, as one of my favourites for cameras and camera info. Thanks for your good work and efforts to keep people like me informed, encouraged and enthused. (Norm)

  7. I thought that was the photo that you were referring to grin It was a pleasing shot because I just turned the corner and found that great geometric scene in front of me! Couldn't really go wrong...

  9. Thanks Johan!

Brussels is a great city - visited the annual Jazz Festival twice now. You can't beat good music and even better beer!

  10. Lame, very lame... not something that i'd be showing off.

  11. Interesting, but to be fair, you should really provide some specifics. I
particularly liked the following, so perhaps you could refer specifically
    to them.

    1. Cite Administrative de l'Etat #1
    2. La Orotava Doorway
    3. Tenerife Coastline

    Looking forward to your criticisms.

  12. And you could also provide a link to your own work to show us what isn't so lame... grin
