Mark, something is very wrong here . I see hardly any noise at all,
and only small amounts of purple fringing in very high contrast areas.

Thanks for the great in depth review of the Canon A620 and I will probably get one now after seeing your pictures.
I really liked the city scapes with the mix of new and older architecture. The shot of the childrens hospital is great, and I like the nature shots with the trees-very atmospheric and elemental!

These are interesting photos that show off the capability of the PowerShot. I've been looking at many other PowerShot samples elsewhere on the net and most of the them looked soft. Are you sure these are untouched? It looks like some post processing sharpening has been done on them. If not, then they look nice and sharp right off the camera. I'm kind of a sharpness freak. I like eye-poppingly almost 3-D sharp pics and I was slightly put off by the softness of all the other images I've seen off the PowerShot. Even so, I was pleased with the color accuracy and saturation. I think I'm finally sold on this camera.
Interesting photos. Definitely talent there.
